1995年过去了,1996年已经开始。过去一年来香港的经济形势如何?今年的前景又会怎样?这是海内外人士所关注的。 1995年经济情况的回顾 港英政府原来预测1995年本地生产总值增长幅度为5.5％,但由于经济放缓,8月份将增幅调低到5％,人消费也从9％调低到3.5％。面对这一形势,有少数人认为,香港经济正在走向萎缩性衰退;有的港府官员认为,香港经济正处于转型期的阵痛之中;但也有许多经济界人士在经过全面分析之后,得出了更为客观、公正的结论:香港经济虽然放缓,但基础依然巩固,目前正处于周期性的局部调整之中。展望1996年,是机遇与挑战并存,所以前景乐观。笔者认为:只要充分估计有利因素,调动积极因素,又充分估计并设法克服困难,香港经济仍可保持繁荣安定。

The author believes that as long as we fully assess the favorable factors, mobilize the positive factors, and fully assess and try to overcome difficulties, the economy of Hong Kong can still maintain its prosperity and stability.
