用Porapak Q 吸附、正己烷洗脱、GC-MS配合标准化合物鉴定出完整白菜挥发物含有烯丙基异硫氰酸酯、乙酸顺-3-己烯酯、罗勒烯、2,5-己二醇、青叶醇、正壬醇、β-香叶烯、α-蒎烯、反-2-己烯-1-醇、D-柠檬烯、丙酸顺-3-己烯酯、芳樟醇、香叶醇、反-4-己烯-1-醇、异戊酸顺-3-己烯酯、α-萜品烯、β-石竹烯、蒈烯-3和α-石竹烯, 前5种为主要组分. 各组分均能引起触角电位(EAG)反应, 其中烯丙基异硫氰酸酯、C6醇及其酯类青叶醇、反-2-己烯-1-醇、反-4-己烯-1-醇、异戊酸顺-3-己烯酯和2,5-己二醇引起的EAG反应较大, 且雌蛾对这6种组分的EAG反应值稍大于雄蛾. 萜烯类引起的EAG反应较小, 雌蛾EAG反应值小于雄蛾; 而雌、雄蛾对β-香叶烯的反应稍大. 风洞试验表明完整白菜挥发物、烯丙基异硫氰酸酯、2,5-己二醇和异戊酸顺-3-己烯酯显著地引起小菜蛾的定向飞行和着落; 完整白菜挥发物活性最强, 烯丙基异硫氰酸酯次之. 雌蛾对烯丙基异硫氰酸酯的趋向性稍强于雄蛾. α-萜品烯等为次要组分, 触角电位反应和风洞研究均证实其活性弱.
