《心之罪》是美国当代女剧作家贝丝·亨利的成名剧作。剧中人物明显的古怪行为经常被论者关注和批评。剧中人物的古怪行为以及剧作的美国南方背景使得此剧通常被划入美国南方戏剧范畴,并经常与其他南部剧作家的作品做比较研究,诸如田纳西.威廉斯的作品。也有论者从身份认同和女性主义的角度对剧中人为的古怪行为做多种诠释。本文借助福柯提出的知识与权力关系阐释,尝试对剧中人物的“怪异”做新的阐释。通过对剧情和剧中人物之间的关系分析,本文提出剧中人物的古怪行为反映了剧中人在权力建构的文化拘囿下的挣扎。而这个主题是在剧情和观众两个层面上展开的。
“Sin of heart” is the famous playwright of American contemporary female playwright Beth Henry. Obvious and eccentric behavior of the characters is often the attention of critics and criticism. The eccentricity of the characters in the play and the American southern context of the play make the play often classified as a category of drama in the United States of the South and often compared with other Southern dramatists such as the works of Tennessee Williams. Some commentators also make various interpretations of man-made eccentric behavior from the perspective of identity and feminism. Based on the explanation of the relationship between knowledge and power proposed by Foucault, this article attempts to make a new interpretation of the “weirdness” of the characters in the play. Through the analysis of the relationship between the story and the characters in the play, this article proposes that the weird behavior of the characters in the play reflects the struggles of the dramatis personae under the cultural restraint of power construction. And this theme is in the plot and the audience on both levels.
