On Jan.9th，2015， the national awards congress for science and technology is held in Beijing to confer awards to 318 projects， 8 scientists and experts and one foreign organization for the new scientific and technological accomplishments. China has always attached great importance to science and technology， staying firm in the conviction that it is the driver that will impulse new growth in national economy and social development. The national awards are seeded in five categories as specified in the Regulation on National Awards for Science and Technology（2003Revision） issued by the State Council on Dec.20th，2003. The revised version is based on the previous document entitled “Regulation on National Awards for Science and Technology （promulgated by the Order No.265 of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China on May 23， 1999； Revised according to the decision of the State Council on Amending the Regulation on National Awards for Science and Technology on December 20， 2003）.
The national laureation fall into the following five categories：
·Top National Award for Science and Technology；
·National Award for Natural Sciences；
·National Award for Technological Innovations；
·National Award for Science and Technology Progress；
·International Science and Technology Cooperation Award of the People’s Republic of China
It is noteworthy that six awards were conferred to the textile industry with one gold medal and four silver medals in the National Award for Science and Technology Progress， and one silver medal in the National Award for Technological Innovations as itemized in the projects given below：
Six Medals Conferred to the Textile Industry for National Award：
Co-PET（MCDP） for continuous polymerization-spinningdyeing & finishing （Silver medal in the National Award for Technological Innovations）， awarded to Dong Hua University， Shanghai Lianji Synthetics Fiber Co. Ltd.
Cone Yarn Digital-Control Automatic Dyeing Complete Line & Equipment （Gold Medal in the National Award for Science and Technology Progress）， awarded to Shandong Companion Group Corp.， China Academy of Machinery Science and Technology， Shandong Lutai Textile Corp.
High-Efficient Key Technology and Commercial Application for Combing （Silver Medal in the National Award for Science and Technology Progress），awarded to Jiangsu Kaigong Machinery Co.Ltd.， Zhongyuan University of Technology， Jiangnan University， Shanghai Haochang Mechanical Electrical Equipment Co. Ltd.， Henan Institute of Engineering. Critical Manufacturing Technology and Commercial Application for New-Type Melt Blown Non-Woven Material （Silver Medal in the National Award for Science and Technology Progress）， awarded to Tianjin Polytechnic University， Tianjin Taida Filters Co. Ltd.， Military Equipment Research Institute of General Logistics Department of PLA， Hongda Research Institute Co. Ltd.
Complete Technology Development and Application for Over One-Million Ton Capacity of PTA Plant （Silver Medal in the National Award for Science and Technology Progress）， awarded to China Kunlun Contracting and Engineering Corp.， Chongqing Pengwei Petrochemical Co. Ltd.， Zhejiang University， Tianjin University， Xi’an Shangu Power Co. Ltd.， AVIC Liming Jinxi Chemical Machinery （Group）Co. Ltd.， Nanjing Baose Co. Ltd..
Electrostatic-Fabric Integrated Precipitation Technology and Application （Silver Medal in the National Award for Science and Technology Progress）， awarded to Fujian Longking Co. Ltd.， Tsinghua University）.
