During this time, Chang Tso-lin experienced for the first time a large-scale infighting war. After several battles, it was a lifetime of trials and tribulations. It finally made the decisive victory in pursuit of the bandits. The outstanding performance of Zhang Zuolin during this period played a very important role in his future rise. For this historical facts, at present the academic community has paid little attention to the fact that the narration is too brief and difficult to accurately reflect the whole picture. Based on the original archives and examining other historical materials, the essay conducts research on the historical facts about Zhang Zuolin’s pursuit of bandit gangs in Taonan, and sketches out the general outline of this period of history, and analyzes the related problems.
