今年五月和六月,《湘泉之友》连续登载了两位文艺界人士探讨京剧命运的文章《我看京剧》及《京剧的青春》,文章虽短,但都是言简意赅,有的放矢,读之颇生兴叹。被尊称为国宝的京剧艺术,在戏曲舞台称雄了一个世纪,可到了二十世纪末期,却失去了往昔的艺术优势,几乎陷入困境。现在多如牛毛的各种地方报纸大都一窝蜂热衷报导一些歌星、影星、笑星操作的娱乐节目及其绯闻丑闻,对优秀京剧演员的表演以及京剧艺术的发展却不屑一顾,表现得极其庸俗、浅薄和势利。然而,作为一家企业创办的非专业报纸《湘泉之友》,却对京剧艺术的命运如此关注,古道热肠不惜版面登载探讨京剧艺术的文章,这无异于雪中送炭,空谷足音,弥足珍贵,殊堪欣慰。
