一、现状及原因几年来,在各级党政领导的重视和社会的支持下,我市一些中小学校增设了图书馆(室),图书馆工作取得了不少成绩,为提高学校的教育教学质量做出了贡献。我市现有中小学1746所,建有图书馆(室)609个,还有约65%的学校没有图书馆(室);市区条件比各县好些,在143所中小学中,建有图书馆(室)81个,也还有约43%的学校没有图书馆(室)。有些学校虽然建立了图书馆,但工作开展得也不尽令人满意,具体表现在:1、藏书数量不足,馆藏最多的约20000册,最少的不足500册;藏书质量不高,有些图书内容陈旧,失去使用价值;有些学校不是有计划、有目的地积累图书资料,所以没有形成具有中小学特色的藏书体系。
