From the 1920s to the 1930s, proletarian literature once flourished in various parts of East Asia. Although the source of proletarian literature is the Soviet Union, proletarian literature in East Asia is spread mainly through Japan. An important channel for this spread is translation and mobility. On the one hand, the spread of proletarian literature comes at a time when the Japanese imperialists are expanding in East Asia.
