Biliuhe Reservoir is the main source of water supply in Dalian City, mainly to supply the city’s water, as well as irrigation, fish farming, power generation, flood control and other benefits. The reservoir was started in October 1975, the sluice gate in 1983, completed in October 1985. The reservoir is inundated with 43,700 mu of cultivated land, involving 2 cities (Dalian, Yingkou), 3 counties (Xinjin County, Zhuanghe County and Gaoxian County), 6 villages, 25 villages and 110 natural villages. 6172 households, 28932 people.
