In order to disassemble the gear on the armature conical surface of the traction motor of the diesel locomotive, the joint structure stipulates the oil-free planing and fastening method to eliminate the damage of the output shaft surface and the bearing. However, this method can not be widely adopted in diesel locomotive maintenance work due to the instability of disassembly process parameters. During use, it causes overload and premature damage to the equipment. The experimental research on disassembling the traction motor gear with oil pressure expansion method was carried out and the structure of the process equipment was improved. The first experiment showed that when it was disassembled according to the calculation of oil pressure, more than a third of the gears could not be disassembled because the lubricating oil did not seep into the contact area. Through the oil pressure value, the combination of the surface conditions and the oil pressure system used when linked points
