On July 16, the eco-friendly LNG fuel tank “Econun” was put into operation in Incheon, South Korea and became the first ship in Asia to be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG). In Europe, about 40 similar ships have been put into operation. In recent years, under the trend of low-carbon development in the world, in order to avoid air pollution and greenhouse effect, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) has promulgated mandatory regulations on overdraft emission reduction of ships on the sea. From 2015 onwards, all 400 tons and above Of new ships must meet the new EEDI requirements, reduce energy efficiency by 10% and then reduce again between 2020 and 2024
