发源于日本的现代世界最佳苹果新品种之一,北斗、千秋果树良种经山东省莱州市果树研究所二年多辛勤培育,首次在我国山东省嫁接繁育成功。北斗、千秋属红香蕉系短枝型果树,具有质优、味香、外观鲜艳等特点,在日本市场属俏货,亩产一般4000多公斤。1988年莱州市果付所共繁育种苗5000多株,为该品种尽快在我国安家打下了基础。
