1949年中南海第一次规划修缮后,中央警卫局遵照上级指示,通过中央办公厅先后从北京故宫博物院借调了不少珍贵古董,分别布置在勤政殿、怀仁堂两个重要场所,1963年6月复查登记,共有141件。“文化大革命”开始前夕,由中央警卫局服务科行政组长武宗让具体负责,全部安全退回故宫。我当时在服务科工作,但那时年轻,不懂文物,初见时,感觉一般,只是多看几眼而已。后来由于工作关系,耳闻目睹的得多了,才渐渐明白,原来这些珍贵古董被“请进”中南海,是国家一项很重要的时政举措。毛主席为文物“定调”
