微量元素硒通过增强谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶活性及细胞膜骨架蛋白的稳定性等机制对细胞起保护作用。当硒缺乏时,就失去了这种保护作用,导致心肌坏死,成为克山病的主要病因。硒缺乏时,机体免疫细胞活性低下,使之对病毒、毒素和有机质等有害因素的抵抗能力下降,影响软骨细胞的代谢,因此,在大骨节病的发病中也是重要因素。笔者观察了微量元素硒对小鼠免疫细胞活性的影响,现报告如下:
