詹姆士.巴里的小说《彼得在肯辛顿花园》和《彼得和温迪》写于20世纪初期,小说的主要人物彼得不只是一个长不大的小孩,他还有四个象征性身份。通过分析彼得的身份及特点笔者进而阐明彼得身份的多样性及颠覆性是与作者创作时期的时代背景及思想分不开的。
James Barry’s novel Peter in Kensington Gardens and Peter and Wendy were written in the early 20th century. Peter, the main figure in the novel, is not only a small child, but also has four symbolic identities . By analyzing Peter’s identity and characteristics, the author clarifies that the diversity and disruptiveness of Peter’s identity are inseparable from the background and thoughts of the author’s creation period.
