To improve cancer-related follow-up care for cancer survivors, participation and collaboration between general practitioners (PCPs) and oncologists is necessary but scarce. In 2009, the IARC and the American Cancer Society conducted a nationwide survey of 1,014 PCPs and 1,125 oncologists. Assessed their self-evaluation of their role in cancer-related follow-up care of cancer survivors. More than 50% of PCPs are expressed as cancer cancers provided primarily by co-management with oncologists
