Seed or soil with bacteria, flora and fauna alone or in combination, often produce cotton seedling complex disease. Many pathogens are ubiquitous fungi that cluster on many other hosts and cotton and grow there. Pathogenic nematodes also often coexist with these fungi. The combined effect of these organisms can cause more serious disease problems than single fungi. Each pathogen is at work, with several organisms compromising seeds and seedlings at the same time, creating interrelated syndromes. The syndromes of these diseases include the decay of seeds and seedlings occurring before budding, the de-greening and necrosis of young and young seedlings before and after bud emergence, dwarfing and wilting. Although the incidence of seedling diseases is mainly determined by unfavorable temperature and soil moisture, any conditions conducive to the rapid development of pathogenic bacteria that are detrimental to hosts are detrimental.
