Many of Shanghai’s old houses are related to Art Deco: the dark brown walls of the international hotel and the step-down profile of the top floor, the dark green pyramid of copper on the top of the Sasson Building (now Heping Hotel) Roof, Broadway Building (now Shanghai Tower) fold line shape, Junling send Lu (now Jinjiang Hotel South) inlaid with elegant white trim dark walls, Nanjing Road, Tibet junction Dah Sing Department Store (now the first Department stores), large bright cinema, Paramount dance halls and many more. These classic old buildings have given Shanghai cities a unique quality, which is our precious cultural asset.
