说起曹植的《七步诗》(或作《自愍诗》,见李昉等撰《太平广记》卷一七三“曹植”条引《世说》;或作《豆萁诗》,见元宋褧撰《燕石集》卷八《五王博塞图》;或作《煮豆诗》,见明田艺蘅《留青日札》卷一“三步五步七步十步之才”条),大家都耳熟能详。不过,它到底是曹植原作,或仅是托名曹植之作,则成了千古聚讼纷纭的难题。对此,笔者虽曾有所思考,却终不能遽定,故暂且搁置不论。倒是最早记载此事的刘义庆、《世说新语》的注释者刘孝标,以及曹植本人,都和佛教有着千丝万缕
