On October 13 QUALCOMM announced the CSM6800 (CSM) and MSM6800 (MSM) chip and system software solutions based on the CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Release A wireless technology standard. The CSM6800 single-chip solution enables equipment manufacturers to reduce the number of chips in CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Rev.
