意象是客观形象与主观心灵的融合,它是客观物象经过创作主体独特的情感活动而创造出来的一种艺术形象。意象是给情思一个载体,其作用在于“托物言志”“借景抒情”。曾几何时,青绿山水作为一种绘画意象的创作方式流行一时,它不仅是作为情思的载体,更是画美的印证。因此,工笔青绿山水画作为传统山水画的古典样式,在隋唐至两宋时期曾辉煌一时。两宋以后,随着水墨写意山水画的发展,青绿山水逐渐式微,并慢慢淡出历史舞台。
