在一组12米长、2.15米高的屏风上,分别以象形与大写意的方式,利用综合材料将“瓜果梨桃”、“花鸟鱼虫”、“人文山水”、“梅兰竹菊”这些文字艺术性地书写呈现出来,形成《十六扇屏风》的全图(2009)。人们隐隐约约地可以从中看到这些文字在创立之初所依据的自然之形以及从中引申出来的会意。由于使用了综合媒材,我们很难将这些作品同传统的中国山水画联系起来,也不能将之归于一种西式的油画创作。若要勉强为之命名,我们可以称之为“综合书写”的艺术,一种以汉字的象形为图式根据、把屏风的装置形式与水墨、颜料结合起来的艺术。但是,总体上,艺术家解毅的这组作品,还包括《受伤的囍》、《山水》(2009)与《井》、《反斗》、《罐式》、《山
