Discourse teaching is a difficult point in primary school English teaching. It is a sublimation on the basis of vocabulary teaching and sentence pattern teaching. However, from the current situation, many primary school English teachers are often unable to start their own in the face of discourse and do not know what to do to meet the requirements of the new primary English curriculum standard for discourse teaching. Therefore, how to help students understand the meaning of discourse effectively and improve their reading skills and comprehensive English ability, it is worth every thoughtful English teacher. In this paper, we will take Oxford English Primary School published by Yilin Press as an example, and discuss the teaching strategies of discourse in primary English classroom with specific teaching practice.
