目前双语生《综合英语》教学的范式主要以教师讲解,注重深入分析语言结构,单纯机械操练,过于重视语法成分,忽略了学生的情感因素。学生感到乏味,师生间应有的有效互动成了教师一个人的精彩。该传统教育方式满足不了教育部对双语生《综合英语》“培养和提高学生综合运用英语的能力”的教学目标。“情境教学法”注重培养学生的交际和综合运用语言的能力,是一种“生生互动”、“师生互动”的多向型教学过程,培养学生主动参与意识,充分调动了学生学习的自主性,激发了学生学习和求知的渴望和热情。
