The ancient wooden jackdaw map is a fine masterpiece made by Lin Liang, a court painter in the Ming Dynasty in China. It is 152.5 cm long and 77 cm wide. The painting portrays a group of jackdaws roaming the branches during the winter. Many of the birds in the paintings have different stances: they gather in the branches, some comb the feathers, others look upwards, others gaze at the distance, and others turn their eyes on. This painting is mainly based on ink and wash, slightly applying light color. The feather art of Toba is the most ingenious - the artist paints the bird feather in rich, moist ink to show its hairy and elastic texture. There are still some birds in the picture with very light ink plus light ocher dyed, making it appear light and agile ready to come. The painting also depicts the stony cliffs, as well as a sturdy old tree
