Alkali-aggregate reaction in concrete is a new problem. This issue is related to the durability of concrete. There are hundreds of buildings abroad, including concrete dams, bridges, roads, and alkali-aggregate reactions have taken place. In some buildings, a large number of cracks occurred after just a few years of construction, causing extremely serious expansion, thus causing the entire building to collapse. Therefore, in the past two decades, many scientists and researchers have studied this issue. Up to now, people have some knowledge about alkali-aggregate reaction, and some problems of alkali-aggregate reaction mechanism have been solved. There are already some now
