对冀西北坝上地区首次发现的冰川遗迹、冰缘现象进行了描述。对中更新世以来的冰期、冰缘期进行了划分,分别命名为塔拉囫囵冰期、刘家营冰缘期,前者可与庐山冰期对比,后者相当于晚大理亚冰期。传统观点认为,晚更新世晚期中国北方属干燥寒冷气候,但对本区冰缘现象研究后发现,此期曾出现过湿冷阶段。还建立了新的岩石地层单位———塔拉囫囵组,位于赤城组之上马兰组之下,属中更新世晚期。
The first glacial relics and ice margins discovered in Bashang area of northwestern Hebei Province are described. The ice ages and ice margins since the middle Pleistocene were divided into two categories, namely, Talayazhile glacial period and Liujiaying marginal ice period. The former can be compared with Mount Lushan ice age, which is equivalent to the late Dali ice age. The traditional view is that late-Pleistocene northern China is a dry and cold climate. However, after studying the ice margins in this area, it has been found that there has been a period of wet and cold during this period. Also set up a new unit of rock strata - Tara 囫 囵 group, located above the Macheng Formation Akagi group, is the late Mid-Pleistocene.
