鄂糯７号是我所用辐射后代“Ｒ８２０３３－４１”（桂朝二号突变体）דＢＧ９Ｏ－２”突变体经多年抗性与产量的异地同步选择和米质的半穗法筛选选育而成的高产优质抗病籼型糯稻品种。经品比和区试以及生产试验，一般单产７５００～８２５０ｋｇ／ｈｍ２，分别比对照鄂荆糯６号、桂朝２号及汕优６３增产８．２％、１１．６％和减产不显著。高抗白叶枯病，抗稻瘟病能力明显强于汕优６３。１９９５年通过湖北省品种审定委员会审定。
