The European Socialists (including Social Democrats, Socialists and Labor) are among the most important political forces in the modern European political arena. Most Western European countries have Socialist parties, most of whom are either the ruling party or the first opposition party. The Socialist caucus is the largest caucus in the European Parliament. In the mid-to-late 1990s, Europe once saw the grand occasion of the Social-Democrats in the EU-15 that came to power alone or jointly in 13 countries. From the perspective of changes in the European Socialist Party and social democratism in the past 20 years, the German Social Democratic Party, the Swedish Social Democratic Party and the Socialist Party of France are the more representative social parties in Europe. From the experiences and lessons learned by these Socialist parties in handling the relations between the Party and the masses, we can deepen our understanding of the social basis and ruling experience of the left-ruling parties in Europe and get some enlightenment.
