“欧罗巴利亚艺术节”创办于1969年,主要在比利时的首都布鲁塞尔举办,是比利时最大的综合性国际文化活动。每届“欧罗巴利亚艺术节”邀请一个国家为主宾国,期间全面展示该国文化遗产和现代艺术。受邀国最初仅限欧洲范围,自上世纪80年代末,逐渐扩至欧洲以外。从2003年起,艺术节每两年举办一届,当年受邀国为意大利,2005年为俄罗斯,2007年原定美国,后改为欧盟。每届“欧罗巴利亚艺术节”为期约4个月,从每年10月初至次年2月,主要活动集中于布鲁塞尔并辐射比利时全国及荷、法、德、卢等周边国家及其城市。艺术节通过一系列展览、演出、研讨会、电影展映和民间艺术表演等活动,力求全面反映受邀国文化艺术的全貌。“欧罗巴利亚·中国艺术节”于2009年10月8日在布鲁塞尔开幕,2010年2月14日闭幕。该节以布鲁塞尔为中心,覆盖安特卫普、布鲁日、根特等比利时城市的主要展、演场馆并辐射德国、法国、荷兰和卢森堡等欧洲国家。艺术节期间,本刊《特别报道》栏目分期转载部分发生在比利时的中国文化艺术对外交流的故事。——本刊编者 Founded in 1969 and organized mainly in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, “Europalia Festival” is Belgium’s largest comprehensive international cultural event. Each “Europalia Arts Festival” invites a country as the guest country, during which the country’s cultural heritage and modern art will be fully exhibited. Invited countries initially limited to Europe, since the late 1980s, gradually expanded beyond Europe. Since 2003, the festival has been held every two years, when the invited country was Italy, 2005 was Russia, 2007 was originally the United States, and later the EU.
