OBJECTIVE: To investigate the clinical effects of icing treatment on patients undergoing minimally invasive breast surgery. Methods: Seventy-two patients admitted to our hospital from March 2014 to March 2015 underwent minimally invasive breast surgery were divided into control group (36 cases) and observation group (36 cases) by random number table For example, the patients in the control group were given routine nursing care. The patients in the observation group were treated with ice nursing on the basis of routine nursing. The postoperative pain and the incidence of postoperative bleeding in the two groups were observed and compared. Results and clinical data of two groups were retrospectively analyzed. Results: The degree of postoperative pain in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P <0.05), which was statistically significant. The incidence of postoperative bleeding in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group (P <0.05), with statistical significance. Conclusion: The clinical effect of ice pack nursing for patients receiving minimally invasive breast surgery is significant and worthy of clinical application.
