首次报道托盘根乙酸乙酯萃取物体外实验能显著抑制大鼠心、肝、脑、肾组织中过氧化脂质的生成；连续灌胃15d能显著抑制小鼠血浆及脑、肝中过氧化脂质的生成。表明托盘根具有抗组织脂质过氧化作用。
