21世纪初以来,在应对气候变化与能源危机的背景下,全球范围内掀起了城市公共空间人性化改造的浪潮。纽约、伦敦、巴黎、哥本哈根等一批世界级城市纷纷在城市建设中回归以人为本,制定公共空间发展战略。这些城市开展的公共空间网络优化建设,主要从交通和环境两个方面提升城市空间品质,促进经济活力,彰显地方特色和文化内涵,即,加大对步行和自行车系统建设的投入,为绿色出行创造条件,引导市民绿色出行;加强了对城市人性尺度空间的营造,完善城市街道设施,激发市民室外活动意愿。
