建国三十多年来,随着水利水电建设事业的蓬勃发展,在水工设计方面积累了丰富的经验。为了进一步提高设计水平和加快设计进度,促进水利水电事业的更好发展,原水利电力部规划设计管理局和水利电力出版社,于一九七七年十一月在青岛召开了有设计、施工、科研和高等院校等近30个单位参加的会议,决定编写一部以反映我国建设经验和科研成果为主的《水工设计手册》,以满足广大水利水电工程技术人员长期以来的愿望和实际工作需要。 本书组织了全国水利水电系统30多个单位、100余位专家共同编写的。又经专门聘请的专家详细审订。最后由手册主编单位华东水利学院定稿,由水利电力出版社出版。 本手册分8卷42章,全书约500余万字。其卷目章名为:第一卷基础理论(1.数学,2.工程力学,3.水力学,4.土力学,5.岩石力学);第二卷地质、水文、建筑材料(6.工程地质与水文地质,7.水文计算,8.泥沙,9.水利计算,10.建筑材料);第三卷结构计算(11.钢筋混凝土结构,12.石砖结构,13.钢木结构,14.沉降计算,15.渗流计算,16.抗震设计);第四卷土石坝(17.主要设计标准和荷载计算,18.土坝,19.堆石坝,20.砌石坝);第五卷
