The Biography of Immortals is a celebrity novel in the Ming Dynasty. Because of its engraving, the engraving in the book is famous for the engraving of Huang Yimu, a famous painter of Huizhou in the Ming Dynasty. The book consists of nine volumes, of which the first eight volumes of Wang Shizhen series times, the ninth volume for Huizhou publisher Wang Yunpeng series make up. The author after research shows that the real book of the first eight volumes of this book is not Wang Shizhen, but the book dealer Wang Yunpeng; this book is not Wang Yunpeng since the author, but copied from “wide column immortal biography” and other books. This kind of bookstore self-compiled and pretentious celebrity practice is very popular during the Ming Wanli period, the compilation of this book is an example. However, the book is still quite valuable because of its magnificence and delicate illustrations.
