广州市西江引水工程设计引水量350X104m3/d(40.5 m3/s),概算总投资89.53亿元,是继南水北调中线北京段之后,又一建成通水的大型城市引水工程。该工程既是列入国家《珠江三角洲地区改革发展规划纲要(2008—2020)》"建立合理高效的水资源配置和供水安全保障体系"的重点建设工程,也是广州亚运会配套的民生供水工程,被列为201O年广州市政府十大改善民生实事之一。
