海城高跷，又名海城秧歌。迄今已有３００多年的历史。海城秧歌初为双脚落地，叫地秧歌。清代咸丰年间，演变为两足踏木杖的高跷。海城高跷具有粗犷、火爆、热烈、细腻的特点，它以“扭、浪、逗、相”为主要表现手段，是一种富有浓厚地方特色的民间舞蹈，堪称是以舞蹈为主体的 Haicheng stilts, also known as Haicheng Yangko.
