由美国研制的光导纤维井眼地球应变仪,能够探测到地表深处的微小移动,或探测出可预报地震的地球应变。该装置能确定一个地区地表深处移动的规律,然后自动记录下偏离该规律的任何变化。该装置的试样是鱼雷型的,长约2m,其重量可使它自动锚定。传感装置由120m光导纤维组成,光导纤维绕在该装置的基体上,锚定在井眼底部的岩石上。其它的在探测器内部的光导纤维则与岩石周围的干扰环境隔离开来,以作为传感纤维的参考对象。
Fiber-optic wellbore earth strain gauges, developed by the United States, detect tiny movements in the depths of the Earth’s surface or detect earth-related strains of earthquakes that can be predicted. The device can determine the depth of a region of the law of movement, and then automatically record any deviation from the law of change. The device is torpedo-type sample, about 2m, its weight can make it automatically anchored. The sensing device consists of 120m optical fiber wound around the substrate of the device and anchored to the rock at the bottom of the wellbore. The other optical fiber inside the detector is isolated from the disturbing environment around the rock as a reference for the sensing fiber.
