在清代学术的演变下,清代《尚书》学得到不断地发展。清初,在一批士人倡导经学,提出经道合一的救世理念之下,清初《尚书》学者们在史料辨伪中探寻《尚书》的经学价值。乾嘉时期,在“故训明则古经明,古经明则贤人圣人之理义明”的思想指导下,《尚书》学在考辨的路径下,转向对经学“道”的诉求。嘉庆、道光以来,经学也已经不完全是士人完全尊奉的经典,无论今文还是古文,两方面的学者在对传统与现实的双重焦虑和紧张中,都对经典重新进行诠释,试图重新发掘属于自己的知识与思想资源,来回应日益涌入的新知。同时,随着金、甲文的出土和研究,学界热衷于先秦史的研究。在这样的背景下,晓清《尚书》学又向前发展。
