英雄主义文学的兴起适应了我国５０年代至６０年代社会主义事业的需要。由于极“左”路线的干扰，英雄主义文学创作中的一些弊病并没有及时纠正。发展到文革十年，英雄主义文学走到了极端，失去了读者．进入新时期，社会政治、经济的变化，加之文学社会功能的全方位实现等因素，英雄主义文学并没有得到作家的重视和读者的青睐．但时代需要英雄，文学也应呼唤崭新的英雄。
The rise of heroic literature has adapted the needs of the socialist cause in our country from the 1950s to the 1960s. Due to the interference of the “Left” route, some shortcomings in heroic literary creation have not been corrected in time. Development to the 10 years of the Cultural Revolution, heroism literature reached the extreme, lost the reader. Entering the new era, the changes of social politics and economy, combined with the full realization of the social functions of literature, heroism literature has not received the attention of the writers and readers alike. However, the times need heroes and literature should also call for new heroes.
