在拉拔热扩钢管生产实践中,钢管通过热拉拔扩径,不仅直径扩大了,而且也发生了壁厚的变化。正确地认识钢管在扩径过程中壁厚变化规律,对于合理地制定拉拔热扩钢管生产工艺、获得几何尺寸比较精确的成品钢管具有主要意义。在生产现场制定热扩钢管的生产工艺时,一般是假定钢管在拉拔扩径过程中断面积不变。近似地认为:钢管在扩径前后的内径与壁厚的乘积为一个常数(d_。s_。=d_1s_1=d_2s_2……=d_ns_n)。这样,钢管在扩径后的壁厚可按下式计算:
