Vascular lesions in diabetic patients may be related to the high reactivity of their platelets. The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of platelet aggregates, reactivity of platelets to polymerization inhibitors, β-TG, PF 4, TXB 2, Aldehyde (MDA) was assayed for arachidonic acid metabolism in normal and diabetic patients and compared with other platelet hypersensitivity parameters to determine the role of these changes in the development of diabetic vascular disease.
