曾几何时,中国文坛的先锋小说风起云涌。尤其马原们的出场,一度让读者误以为中国的先锋小说将开辟一个漫长如拉美文学爆炸的时代。但中国的土壤毕竟不是拉美,也不是欧洲。强大的现实题材终于吸引了更多的小说家和读者,乃至好些年里,“先锋”一词,仅仅变成一个说法或居心难料的噱头。但一个小说家回避先锋,只能说明先锋并没有在这个小说家的内心扎根;读者不读先锋,也或能说明一般读者仅在希求一个用来打发时间的故事。从根本上说,先锋从来不是写作者刻意追求的姿态,恰恰是小说家面对小说未来发展而生发的野心和抱负。换句话说,有抱负的小说家从来不抗拒先锋。先锋能够提供一种可能。向可能进发,才有可能为小说提供更开阔的远景和值得介入的全新领域。
Once upon a time, the pioneering novels of Chinese literary world surging. In particular, the appearance of Maharatrians, once let the reader mistakenly believe that China’s pioneering novels will open up a long time, such as the explosion of Latin American literature. But after all, China’s soil is not Latin America, nor is it Europe. The powerful realities have finally attracted even more novelists and readers, and in some years, the word “vanguard” has simply become a gimmick of saying or inattentiveness. But a novelist avoiding a vanguard only shows that the vanguard did not take root in the novelist; the reader did not read the vanguard, or could tell that the average reader only wanted one story to kill the time. Fundamentally speaking, avant-garde has never been a deliberate pursuit by writers. It is precisely the ambition and ambition of novelists to face the future development of novels. In other words, ambitious novelists never resist the vanguard. Pioneer can provide a possibility. It is possible to proceed with the possibility of providing the novel with a broader perspective and a whole new area worthy of intervention.
