This paper introduces a new method to measure the characteristics of RF mixer. The method gives the amplitude and phase response of input matching, output matching and frequency conversion loss, and it is suitable for a mixer with reciprocal conversion loss and mirroring response that can be filtered out . The measured mixer performs a full vector correction of the mixer test system so that the test system can measure other mixers that are not reciprocal. Its outstanding characteristic is to be able to measure the phase place and absolute delay of the measured mixer. Knox proposed a method of measuring group delay. The law relies on measuring the return loss of the air line of a mixer plus a terminated short-circuit over a wide frequency range and then transforming the response in time-domain.
