Last year’s “Mei-Mei Guo” incident and the statue of the Soong Ching Ling Foundation in Henan Province have aroused widespread public concern and pushed the topic of charity to the cusp. Some people say that corporate charity is making a show, while others claim that corporate charity is merely an exchange of interests. The word “charity”, while giving hope to people in need, carries too much about credibility and confidence. Earlier this month, Forbes formally released the latest China Philanthropy List. The list shows that there are 13 Chinese entrepreneurs who donated over 100 million yuan, and their donations accounted for 46% of the total amount. At about the same time, the Boao Forum for Asia Held a sub-forum with the theme of “Charity System Reform: Transparency, Specialization, and Credibility”, raised awareness of the charity system and how the future of philanthropy will develop. In fact, no matter what the starting point, we only hope that enterprises can use their courage to shoulder this social responsibility and change more people’s lives.
