Our purpose is to determine the effect on seed vigor of sorghum seeds at different temperatures, freezing temperatures, and seed damage caused by threshing. Sorghum seeds with less than 40% moisture content freeze at -1.7 ° C or 0 ° C for 12 hours without diminishing their viability. When seeds with a water content of 35% or more are frozen at below -3.3 ° C, the degree of victimization increases as the freezing period is extended. We conducted this study not only to determine the effect of freezing temperature on the viability of sorghum seeds, but also to demonstrate the possible mechanical damage of the grain at different water contents.
