在《宋诗选注》中,钱锺书以“形象思维”作为选诗的标准之一,他所持的“六不选”原则与王国维的“不隔”、胡适的“八不主义”在精神气质上具有一致性,这是因为作为一种现代思想观念的“形象思维”在他们的诗学世界中占据了一席之地,钱锺书与他们一道成为“形象思维”谱系上的成员之一。也应看到,钱锺书对以西方认识论美学模式下的“形象思维”观之认同,导致他在阐释宋诗(中国古典诗)时出现了未曾预料的困境与隔膜。
In “Selected Poems of the Song Dynasty,” Qian Zhongshu used “imagery ” as one of the criteria for selecting poems. His principle of “six non-selection” and Wang Guowei “Eight Noms” is consistent in spirit and temperament because “imagery thinking”, as a concept of modern thought, occupies a place in their poetic world and Qian Zhongshu joins them as “ Image thinking ”one of the members of the pedigree. It should also be noted that Qian Zhongshu’s recognition of “image thinking ” under Western epistemological aesthetics has led him to unanticipated dilemmas and diaphragms in his interpretation of Song poetry (classical Chinese poetry).
