Marc Symons, Ph.D., professor of Karses Cancer Research Center at the Feinstein Institute of Medical Research, is testing whether a common drug used to treat pinworms can replace some of the current forms of brain cancer. Recently, they published some research results in peer-reviewed and open-access Molecular Medicine magazine. These findings have helped to prolong the lives of patients suffering from the most common brain tumor, low grade gliomas.
