这是无数人的跨世纪梦想:修建一条沿长江东出川渝的铁路,结束世世代代只靠川江航运进出四川盆地的历史。100多年前,川汉铁路最初的设计走向是从成都经重庆、奉节、宜昌至汉口。1909年12月,宜昌至万县(今天的重庆万州区)段开工,当时中国最杰出的铁路工程师詹天佑亲任总工程师。1911年川汉铁路停工,这一停就一直停到新中国成立。1952年7月1日,川汉铁路成渝段通车。2010年12月,宜万铁路建成通车。万众瞩目的川汉铁路,至此,就只剩下湖北利川到重庆这一段了。
This is the innumerable people’s cross-century dream: to build a railway that runs east and west of Sichuan and Chongqing, and to end the history of Sichuan shipping entering and exiting the Sichuan Basin by shipping only from generation to generation. More than 100 years ago, the initial design of the Sichuan-Han Railway started from Chengdu via Chongqing, Fengjie, Yichang to Hankou. December 1909, Yichang to Wanxian (today’s Chongqing Wanzhou District) started construction, when China’s most prominent railway engineer Zhan Tianyou pro-chief engineer. The stop of the Sichuan-Han railway in 1911 stopped the establishment of New China. July 1, 1952, the opening of the Sichuan-Chongqing Railway into Chongqing section. December 2010, Yiwan Railway opened to traffic. The much-anticipated Sichuan-Han railway, so far, only to Hubei Lichuan this section of Chongqing.
