苏联铁路在高加索地区的哥里—长奇旦单线区段上进行接触网电压6千伏的试验(苏联电气化铁路约50%是直流3千伏的)。在这个区段采用6千伏电压和使用二种电压制的电力机车:改造了5台ВЛ22м型电力机车和4台ЭР2型电动车组。第比利斯工厂现正在制造7,400千瓦可控硅的两节式电力机车,供直流6千伏电压区段使用。试验的目的是考察把3千伏电压提高到6千伏后,能否增加运量以缓修复线。这条线路是单线、山区、坡度大,而且大部分电气设备已使用50年之久,需要进行现代化改造。
The Soviet railway experimented with a 6 kV catenary voltage (about 50% of the Soviet electrification railway is 3 kV DC) on the Gore-Nagymatic single section of the Caucasus. In this section, an electric locomotive of 6 kV and two voltages is used: 5 units of ВЛ 22м and 4 units of ЭР 2 are converted. The Tbilisi plant is currently manufacturing a 7,400 kilowatt SCR two-section electric locomotive for use in the DC 6 kV section. The purpose of the test is to examine the 3 kV voltage to 6 kV, can increase the capacity to ease the repair line. This route is a single line, mountainous, with a large slope, and most of the electrical equipment has been used for 50 years and needs to be modernized.
